Red Cross Britain to use PageOne response solution

Red Cross Britain to use PageOne response solution

October 9, 2015

The British Red Cross will use PageOne a UK wireless provider to install it’s paging system in Cornwall, the Channel Islands, Dorset, Somerset and Devon.

The new paging system will replace the old phone around system.

The Phone around system involved first contacting volunteers to see if they were available to provide emergency help then calling them again in order to send them out.

The PageOne system has already been trailed in the South West. A training scheme was then developed for the volunteers and staff who are responsible for liasing with local authorities or emergency services requests.

The PageOne technology has also been used during the severe flooding in Gloucestershire and during the heavy rains of the Glastonbury festival
